Meet the woman behind Adopt a Mom and Pop Inc.

Ms. Williams's passion to serve this generation is enormous and is attributed to her upbringing in a country where she visited the gracefully aged at an early stage of her life. Ulmaria’s mother inspired her to serve by taking her along for weekly visits to her senior citizens' friends and family which were generally nearby.

Ulmaria’s dad was also diagnosed with Dementia which caused her to have a soft spot for seniors with that illness. She has volunteered at 17 or more senior communities in metro Atlanta. She expressed having nothing but love for such beautiful people.

Since the inception of this amazing nonprofit organization, Ms. Williams and volunteers have impacted more than 1,500 senior citizens throughout Metro Atlanta as well as nationally in some capacity.

AMAP was recognized by the Non-profit Trinity Awards and received a community outreach award in 2019. Congressman David Scott also recognized AMAP for remembering and honoring senior citizens annually on National Senior Citizens Appreciation Day.
